Ole Schwartz

Dr. Ole Schwartz received his dental qualification in 1972 from Royal Dental College, Copenhagen. In 1983 he quali? ed as specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery, and in 1979 gained his Ph.D. from the University of Copenhagen. He is Head of department and Chief surgeon University Hospital Rigshospitalet, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 1997. He also works in private dental practice limited to oral surgery, part time. Dr. Schwartz has 52 original publications and chapters including the topics: transplantation immunology in clinical and experimental tooth allotransplantation, cryopreservation of teeth, tooth banks, development and clinical use in tooth transplantation and replantation, autotransplantation of teeth as a treatment modality in patients with traumatic avulsion of teeth or tooth agenesia, treatment of severe tooth– and bone loss, including major bone transplantation, distraction osteogenesis and dental implantology
